Dear Sir, 2004 YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARDS Thank you for your assistance in making the 2003 Young Scientist Awards successful. The Awards had been presented during the 11^th Annual Conference of The Hong Kong Institute of Science (HKIS) held on 8 November 2003. HKIS is now inviting nominations for the 2004 Young Scientist Awards with a view to continuing our effort in promoting science and technology in the region, targeting our budding, young scientists and engineers. We hope to nurture this new generation of people and instil in them a greater sense of pride and awareness in the sciences. The Young Scientist Award carries a cash prize of $10,000 and is given annually to each of the three fields of science: physical/mathematical science, life science and engineering science.
